Feist, Feist, and more Feist.

Feist, Feist, and more Feist.
I vaguely recall skimming through Creative Loafing and reading that Feist would be coming to Atlanta, and apparently it happened earlier this summer. If you got a ticket to one of her shows you were lucky because they sold out nationwide. The 2nd and 3rd videos are clips of her playing in Atlanta at the Variety Playhouse. I wish I could have been there. Feist has an exceptionally intriguing way of creating voice overs live. It appears that she may have a pedal or pedals that allow her to record and then loop over her voice to create mesmerizing long winded vocal effects. Seeing her must have been amazing because she also performed Intuition (first video), which is an old favorite of mine and a real treat because it was played electric with just a hair of distortion. Her voice and involvement with the crowd will put any listener/viewer in a trance. She never disappoints me. Snooping around YouTube I found a few other live videos with some tracks off of her 2004 album Let It Die. Let It Die is a cool album because she used jazz like chords with a pop-like feel and also produced edgier tracks. Regardless of the style of music she chooses to play it always leaves me in a euphoric sense of happiness.
